MinePi is a Minecraft mod that lets you send signals to your Raspberry Pi using redstone.

Made in 24 hours for Hack the Burgh 2021. Our team consisted of four people - two of whom had never played Minecraft, and four of whom had never programmed in Java before. In retrospect I can’t begin to understand what we were thinking.

We didn’t win the hackathon, but to our credit we got the entire thing working by the deadline! I think there’s real potential in a user-friendly way of connecting the Raspberry Pi to Minecraft, but given the years of further Minecraft updates since this project I’d suspect you’d need to start rather from scratch.
